Game Setup
Before play begins, players set up the board, base components, decks, and starting resources. After setup, the game starts with a Resource Collection Round, then the first player turn.
1) Set Up The Board
- Assemble the main game board using hex tiles.
- Place terrain tiles per scenario/map setup rules.
- Ensure metal deposits, water, mountains, and special terrain are clearly visible.
- Place the board in the center within reach of all players.
2) Player Base Setup
- Each player takes: one 3D-printed base board, one Base Card (T1 side up), one Commander unit and token, unit tokens in player color, resource sliders, and Metal/Energy tokens.
- Insert the Base Card into the base board slot with T1 side facing up.
3) Resource Sliders & Starting Production
- Set Metal production slider to 1.
- Set Energy production slider to 1.
- Place resource tokens in the proper storage areas on the base board.
4) Starting Resources
- All players begin with 1 Metal and 1 Energy.
5) Deck Preparation
- Prepare and shuffle: Tech 1 Unit Deck, Action Card Deck, Static Defense Deck, Special Ability Deck.
- Place each deck within reach of all players.
6) Action Cards
- Each player draws two Action Cards.
- Place them into Action Card slots on the base board.
- Players may not exceed the base's current card storage limit.
7-10) Final Setup and Start
- Place each player's Commander token on its designated starting hex.
- No non-Commander units begin on the board.
- No Metal Extractors or Solar Collectors begin on the board unless scenario states otherwise.
- Randomly determine first player; play proceeds clockwise unless specified.
- Game begins with Resource Collection Round, then first player turn.
