Game Setup

Before play begins, players set up the board, base components, decks, and starting resources. After setup, the game starts with a Resource Collection Round, then the first player turn.

1) Set Up The Board
  • Assemble the main game board using hex tiles.
  • Place terrain tiles per scenario/map setup rules.
  • Ensure metal deposits, water, mountains, and special terrain are clearly visible.
  • Place the board in the center within reach of all players.
2) Player Base Setup
  • Each player takes: one 3D-printed base board, one Base Card (T1 side up), one Commander unit and token, unit tokens in player color, resource sliders, and Metal/Energy tokens.
  • Insert the Base Card into the base board slot with T1 side facing up.
3) Resource Sliders & Starting Production
  • Set Metal production slider to 1.
  • Set Energy production slider to 1.
  • Place resource tokens in the proper storage areas on the base board.
4) Starting Resources
  • All players begin with 1 Metal and 1 Energy.
5) Deck Preparation
  • Prepare and shuffle: Tech 1 Unit Deck, Action Card Deck, Static Defense Deck, Special Ability Deck.
  • Place each deck within reach of all players.
6) Action Cards
  • Each player draws two Action Cards.
  • Place them into Action Card slots on the base board.
  • Players may not exceed the base's current card storage limit.
7-10) Final Setup and Start
  • Place each player's Commander token on its designated starting hex.
  • No non-Commander units begin on the board.
  • No Metal Extractors or Solar Collectors begin on the board unless scenario states otherwise.
  • Randomly determine first player; play proceeds clockwise unless specified.
  • Game begins with Resource Collection Round, then first player turn.
